The High School National Ad Network is part of the ASNE High School Journalism
Initiative. ASNE is a non-profit journalism association with an exceptional
track record of growing quality scholastic media in all 50 states.
Building successful high school papers requires editorial excellence and
a solid business plan. A good advertising base is key to that.
The ad network connects advertisers with the coveted
teen audience in a hassle-free way. Our network is large enough --
904 high schools serving more than 1,457,000 students
-- that
we are able to deliver a major cross-section of the audience
-- not just small pieces of it -- in an uncluttered environment.
Advertisers are able to
choose their target audience by community type, demography or
ZIP code. Our online application makes "what-if" scenarios quick
and easy. And our electronic delivery and tracking system makes
real-time monitoring possible.
We already have a relationship with the schools and newspaper advisers
-- training teachers, making grants, bringing partners together,
hosting newspapers online. Administrators know us. The student newspaper
is part of the school's curriculum and lifeblood, not an intrusion.
The school newspapers
are the financial beneficiaries. As a tightly-run, non-profit entity,
ASNE takes just enough overhead to cover basic
expenses. Seventy-five percent of every dollar spent goes to
the high school newspaper
that runs the ad.
